Fun City Entertainment is a Nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization who has an excellent team that consistently works hard to provide outstanding community service and give back to low-income families as much as possible, when recourses becomes available.
Our mission
Our goal is to plant positive thoughts in the minds of our youth to gain future leadership and give hope to low-income families facing poverty.
We do this by providing educational information, Supplying basic food and clothing essentials, and mental health support throughout the community.
Our history
Fun City was originally created in August of 1978 as "Fun City Crew" by Mr. Joseph Jones aka Lay Lay Who was, at the time, a member of "I Am The Peacemakers Organization".
Lay Lay created Fun City Crew with hopes of bringing entertainment to house parties and to the school yard P.S.129 by spinning his records as a well known DJ.
Lay Lay spent most of his time giving back to the community, not only by providing great music, but by giving back to families and children by handing out goodies and food to single mothers and grandmothers who appreciated what was offered from 1978 to 2017 when he was called home to see the lord.
Lay Lay left his organization to his only son, Zachary Smith.
Zachary picked up his father's legacy as president of Fun City Crew in 2017, and has since changed the name to Fun City Entertainment.
Until this day, Fun City Entertainment has been supporting and giving back to the community.
